sashiko Workshop
During this 3 hour workshop, you will learn the basics of Sashiko stitching while creating three denim patches that you will bring home with you.
During the talk, I will introduce the Japanese art of Sashiko embroidery. I will go over its history, from its original purpose in the Edo period to its increasing popularity today with the sustainable appeal of visible mending.
You will leave the course with the tools you need to repair and strengthen denim fabric using different Sashiko patterns, knowing what materials to use to do so in a creative way.
